Wanda Kay Goad, age 74, of Ridgway passed on this life, November 5, 2020 after an extended illness in Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, IN. Wanda was born in Alton, IL on December 21, 1945, 1 of 13 children of Lewis and Mary (Crigger) Ferguson. On March 18, 1976 she married the love of her life, William J. “Bill” Goad.
This began her journey as Military wife. She was the one that kept the home going, raising children and instilling her strong faith in her family. She loved to sew but mostly enjoyed her strong faith of the Lord in her Baptist faith. She always enjoyed working at Vacation Bible School and the Women’s organization at the church. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend and will be missed by many.
Wanda is survived by her husband, Bill Goad of Ridgway, her daughter, Erin (James) Gothard of Ridgway, a brother, Lewis (Nancy) Ferguson, 2 sisters, Wynona (Wilbur) Henneberg and Margie (David) Reed. Grandchildren, Jamie Gothard and Alexander and Nathaniel Sawyer. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Amber Sawyer and siblings, Opal Eakes, Esther Ferguson, Deloma Price, Maxiine Marberry, Betty Kieffer, JoAnn Walrath, Jerry Ferguson, William Ferguson, and Gayle Ferguson
