Theresa Hughes

Theresa V. Hughes, age 73 of Harrisburg but longtime Ridgway resident passed on this life, March 2, 2021 in Gateway Hospital, Newburgh, IN.   Theresa was born on February 11, 1948 in Council Bluffs, Iowa to the late Paul and Catherine (Rexing) Myers.  She was married in 1970 to John Hughes who preceded her in death.

Theresa worked most of her life in the healthcare industry as a CNA, she was always an hard worker.  In her spare time she loved to fish and play bingo.  But her real love was her family and grandchildren.  She always had a smile for you and will be missed.

Theresa is survived by her daughters, Brenda Chitwood and Dawn Hubbard. Along with step children, Randy Hughes, Nellie Harper, Joe Hughes and Lee Hughes. 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.  She was also preceded in death by a daughter Cathy Jones and a brother Kenneth Myers.

Graveside service for Theresa will be on March 20, 2021 at the Union Ridge Cemetery near New Haven where she will be laid to rest with her husband.  The service will be at 1:00 PM.
