On the evening of June 3, 2016, Shelby L. Lamb, age 75, passed away peacefully holding the hand of her husband, Galen Lamb and surrounded by family at her home near Leamington. Shelby was born in Shawneetown, IL on January 22, 1941 to the late Allen and Virginia (Thorne) Leonberger.
Shelby raised her family and spent most of her life living on “the hill” near Saline Mines in Gallatin County. She loved to read and play with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Shelby was preceded in death by her daughter Angie Marie Lamb, sister Patsy Heffington, and brother Grover Leonberger.
She is survived by her husband Galen Lamb, daughters Tammy Mason & Debbie Riggs, sisters Shirley Capeheart & Ada Hollobaugh, brothers Edward “Bubby” Leonberger & Billy Leonberger, grandchildren Galen Brazier, Jeremy Potts, Jason Brazier, and Jesse Potts, and great grandchildren Dylan Brugger, Megan Potts, Brylee Brazier, Gavyn Brazier, Mckenna Brazier, Elijah Potts, and Abigail Potts.
