Rita Kohl

Rita L. Kohl, 84, lifelong resident of Ridgway, IL, passed on this life, at 5:38 AM on March 12, 2020 at Ferrell Hospital, in Eldorado.  Rita was born in Ridgway on February 20, 1936 to the late Louis and Rose (Zilch) Kohl.  Her son, Mark Kohl preceded her in death on November 20, 2010.

Rita is survived by on sister, Marie (Bernard) Mitchel of Enfield, IL and 4 nieces, Pam (Danny) Hish, Donna (Roger) Apple, Mary Lee (Jeff) Stephens, Paula (Brad) Blades and 7 nephews, Mike (Fran) French, Vince (Sharon) Mitchell, Bob (Molly) Kohl, Greg (Lou Ann) Kohl, Tom (Diane) Mitchell, Russell (Kathy) Kohl and Kevin (Kristy) Mitchell.  She is also survived by several great nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her son, brothers, Louis Kohl, Jr and Robert Kohl and a sister and brother in law, Helen and Marvin French.

Visitation for Rita will be on Sunday, March 15, 2020 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Cox & Son Funeral Home in Ridgway where a prayer service will be said at 4:00 PM.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, March 16, 2020 at the St. Kateri Catholic Church in Ridgway at 10:00 AM with Fr. Steven Beatty celebrating.  Her burial will follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery near Ridgway.

Memorials may be made to the St. Kateri Building Fund or St. Jude Research Hospital.  Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
