Mary E. Pearce, age 92, longtime Cottonwood community resident, passed away peacefully on May 27, 2022 in the Eldorado Rehab and Nursing Center surrounded by her family. Mary was born on September 23, 1929 in the Leamington community in Gallatin County. She was born 1 of 7 children to the late Guy and Ethel (Lauderdale) Casey. On June 17, 1950 she married the love of her life, Bill Pearce who preceded her in 2002.
Mary was a very faithful person always doing what was right in the eyes of God. She was very active in the Cottonwood Community Club, loved to cook and be with her family and friends. She always said she had many adopted children, as she always made every child welcome at her home. She was a wonderful cook but more importantly a wonderful Mother, Grandmother and friend who will be always remembered.
Mary is survived by her children, 2 sons, Gene (Pam) Pearce, Dennis (Billie) Pearce, 2 daughters, Lora Mae White, and Sue (Keith) Smith. 6 Grandchildren, 14 Great Grandchildren and 3 Great Great Grandchildren. She is also survived by 2 sister in laws, Mary Casey and Pat Watson. She was preceded in death by her husband Billy Pearce, a grandson, Alex Pearce and 6 brothers.
Visitation for Mary will be on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Cox & Son Funeral Home in Ridgway. Her funeral service will on Wednesday, at the funeral home starting at 11:00 AM. Brother Justin Ferrell will officated. She will then be laid to rest in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Cottonwood with her husband.
