Mark Allen McGuire age 44 of Raleigh, formerly of Ridgway died Monday, December 14, 2009 from the result of an auto accident. Mark was born in Eldorado on November 15, 1965 to Charles (Chuck) and Linda McGuire. He attended St. Joseph Grade School and graduated from Ridgway High School. Mark then attended ITT Technical School where he received is Bachelors Degree. He was a maintenance mechanic at Rexam Closures in Evansville, In for the past 22 years. Mark was married on October 14, 1989 to Lori (Overstreet) McGuire. Mark was a faithful member of the St. John's Catholic Church in West Frankfort, Il. He loved sports especially the St. Louis Cardinals and Notre Dame. Mark's life was his family and he will always be remembered as a kind, caring and compassionate person. He was a wonderful and loving husband, father, son, brother and friend. Mark will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Mark is survived by: his wife Lori (Overstreet) McGuire of Raleigh, 2 sons - Matthew and Benjamin McGuire and a daughter - Kaitlyn McGuire. His parents, Charles & Linda McGuire of Ridgway, Brother - Tim(Lisa) McGuire of Evansville, his grandmother, Louise Abell of Ridgway, Mother in Law - Dena (Jim) Hayes, Sister in Laws - Sara (Tim) Boulds, and Rachel (Mike) Boulds. Mark is also survived by Nieces and Nephews, Kasey and Ryan McGuire, Samantha, Laura, Joseph, Alysha, Mikaylah and Jason Boulds. Mark is preceded in death by a brother Charles Anthony, his father in law John Overstreet , a nephew John Boulds and his grandparents.
Visitation for Mark will be, Thursday, December 17, 2009 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Cox and Son Funeral Home in Ridgway where a prayer service will start at 4:00 PM. The funeral mass for Mark will be on Friday, December 18, 2009 at 10:00 AM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ridgway with Fr. Trevor Murry as Celebrant. Interment will follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery in Ridgway.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the family for a Trust fund for the children. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
