New Haven resident, Margie Mobley, 93, died at her home while surrounded by loving family members on November 6, 2020. Margie was born June 5, 1927 in New Haven, Illinois to Henderson Clifford and Mary (McGhee) Clifford. She attended school in New Haven.
Margie was married 71 years to the love of her life, the late Joe Mobley. The two loved spending time with family, traveling, and camping. She was a good wife, mother, grandmother, and sister and will be missed by many.
Margie was preceded in death by her husband, Joe, a daughter, Deborah Carney, a son, David Mobley Sr., two sisters, Lucille Archuleta and Caroline Williams, a brother, Robert Clifford, and a great-grandson, Eli Carney. She is survived by a son-in-law, Glen Carney, grandchildren, Paul (Karen) Mobley, Alex (Amber) Carney, Karen (Quentin) Braselton, Adam (Leslie) Carney, D.R. (Kelsey) Mobley, ten great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation for Margie will be held Sunday, November 8 at Cox & Son Funeral Home in New Haven from 11a.m. to 1p.m. with funeral service to immediately follow. Rev. Jack Hall and Rev. Donnie Mobley will officiate, and burial will take place at Union Ridge Cemetery.
