Loren Ray Millikan

Loren Ray Millikan, 84, of Junction, IL died on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 in Ferrell Hospital, Eldorado, IL. Loren was born on March 28, 1931 in rural Junction to the late Loren Eck and Mattie (Dutton) Millikan. In 1948 he married Roberta (Thackston), she preceded him death in 2006, he then married Glenda (Clark) and she preceded him in 2014. Loren was known for his precise work in auto body repair and was retired from Millikan Bros. GMC in Shawneetown. In his younger years he loved to stock car race and after retirement was a self taught computer technician. He could fix anything. Loren was a good father, husband, grandfather, brother and friend and will be missed.

Loren is survived by his daughter, Linda Lindsay, a sister, Vivian Millikan, and 2 brothers, Bill & Donna Millikan and Bob Millikan. 4 Grandchildren Roberta Dawn, Bobbie Jo, Janice, and Cherri 10 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Grandchild. He was preceded in death by a son, Larry Millikan, infant son, Larry Ray Millikan, a grandson, Tim Dillard and a sister Anna Louise Millikan.

Visitation for Loren will be on Saturday, May 2, 2015 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Cox & Son Funeral Home in Shawneetown. His funeral will immediately follow at 1:00 PM at the funeral home with Rev. Jack Hall officiating. Interment will be at the Westwood Cemetery in Shawneetown.
