Judy Faye Prewitt, age 65 of Herrin, formerly of Springfield, IL, died peacefully at home surrounded by her family. Judy was born near New Haven on March 9, 1945 to the late Daniel ""Bush"" and Marie (Kirchner) Stallings. She graduated from Ridgway High School and attended college. On May 10, 1965 she married the love of her life, Bill Prewitt who survives. She retired from the State of Illinois Government. Judy had been a Democrat Precinct Committemen in Springfield, IL for 12 years. She loved to be outside and garden. She loved her dog Sweetie. Judy was a good wife, mother, grandmother (she really loved her grandkids), sister and friend. She will be missed. Judy is survived by, her husband, Bill Prewitt of Herrin, a daughter, Dana and husband Pat Bailey of Springfield, 2 granddaughters, Ashley and Allison Bailey of Springfield. 2 Brothers, Jack (Terri) Stallings of New Haven and Ron (Alice) Stallings of Harrisburg. 1 Step Brother, Ernie Stallings of McLeansboro. Brother and Sister in law, Jim (Gloria) Bishop. A very special friend, Jeannie (Bates) Burns. She is preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Judy Lynn Prewitt, brother, Danny Stallings and step brother, Ernest Stallings. The family would like give special thanks to Dr. Jeff Parks, Dr. Issac Abed, her private nurse Cassie and her homemaker Kelsey. Judy requested to be cremated and there will be no services.
