Jo Ann Mungle

Jo Ann (Barger) Gates Mungle, age 74 of Fredericktown, Missouri and formerly of Shawneetown, IL, passed away on Friday, July 11, 2008 in Fredericktown. She was born on December 17, 1933 in Shawneetown, IL a daughter of Omer and Bertha (Watkins) Barger.

On Sept. 19, 1949 she was married to Irving Gates who passed on Aug. 21, 1980. On June 10, 1981 in Tremont, Il, she married Jimmy Joe Mungle who preceded her in death on Nov. 27, 2002.

Also preceding her was her parents, an infant son - Roy Gates, 4 brothers, Sonny and Jack Barger, and Paul and John Nelson. 1 sister - Frances Chamberlain.

She is survived by 2 daughters, Lois Ann Gates, and Laura Lee Perry, 1 Brother, Robert Barger, and 3 sisters, Donny Kay Harvey, Mary Lee Buckman, and Sherry Sue Rigsby. 3 Grandchildren, 5 Great grandchildren, and 1 great great Grandchild.

Graveside services for Jo Ann will be Tuesday, July 15, 2008 at 11:00 am at the Westwood Cemetery in Shawneetown with Rev. Ron Johnson officiating.
