James Brown

James F. Brown, age 67 of Carmi passed on this life, February 5, 2020 in the Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon, IL.  James was born in Kokomo, IN on December 26, 1952 to the late James R.Brown and Annabelle Lee (Grabow).

He loved Cars, Music, playing a Guitar and always had a story or kid you a little bit.  In his younger days he enjoyed fishing.  He will be missed by his family and friends.

James is survived by his companion, Betty, a son Robert Brown, a daughter, Kimberly Brown Clifton,  2 brothers, Bill Brown and Tom (Debbie) Brown, 2 sisters, Debbie (Danny) Pearce and Tina Smith and a sister in law, Doris Brown.  9 Granchildren and 3 great grandchildren.  He was also preceded by 2 brothers, Larry and Tim Brown.

A memorial gathering will take place on Sunday, February 16, 2020  at the Cox & Son Funeral Home, 311 Mill St, New Haven, IL. where the family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM
