Henry B. Riley, age 86, resident of Wabash Christian Center in Carmi, but longtime resident of Ridgway, died Saturday, February 12, 2011 in Deaconess Hospital, Evansville, IN. Henry was born in Ridgway on September 3, 1924, to the late Hubert and Madeline Riley. He was married to the former Ruby (Endicott) who preceded him death in 2000. Henry served his country in World War II in the Army. He had been a member of the Ridgway American Legion and VFW. Henry attended the Ridgway First Baptist Church. Most people will remember him from working many years at the Ridgway Lumber Co. and Omaha Lumber Co. He also worked many years at the Ridgway Popcorn Plant. He was a good husband, father and friend. Henry will be missed by the community. He is survived by 2 sons, Robert (Dawn) Riley of Ridgway and Ronnie Riley of Ridgway, 1 daughter, Joanna Ward of Cambria, Il. 2 Granchildren and 1 great grandchild. He was also preceded in death by 2 sisters. Visitation for Henry will be on Wednesday, February 16, 2011 from 5 to 7 PM at the Cox & Son Funeral Home in Ridgway. Funeral services for Henry will be on Thursday, February 17, 2011 at 11 AM at the Cox & Son Funeral Home in Ridgway with Rev. Rob Gallion officiating. Interment will follow at the Jackson Cemetery with Military rites by the Ridgway American Legion and VFW.
