Hazel Ann Spear

Hazel Ann (Beane) Spear, Union City, TN formerly of Shawneetown, passed away on Tuesday, August 15. She was 63 years old.

She was born September 19, 1953 in Hammond, IN to the late Alvia C. Beane of Shawneetown and Hazel Riley, but was raised by Joe and Pearl Beane of Shawneetown.

Survivors include her husband, Roy Spear of Kenton, TN, children, Elizabeth Bratcher of Sturgis, KY and Sam Bowlby of Marion, IL. Grandaughters Heather Jones of Owensboro, KY, Heaven Bratcher of Sturgis, KY, Brittany Rutter of Sturgis, KY. Grandsons Reno Bratcher of Greenwood, IN and Noah Bratcher of Sturgis, KY. Grandsons Joey Bowlby, Liam Worth and Trace Bowlby from Morganfield, KY. She is also survived by 4 great-grandaughters and 2 great-grandsons. One sister, Nadine Beane Moore of Dover, TN. She was preceded in death by one son, Timmothy Bowlby.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, August 27 at 3:00 pm at Jone’s Cemetery outside Ridgway, IL.
