Edgar Roe, age 90 lifelong resident of Junction (Pisgah Community) died peacefully, Saturday, December 10, 2011 in the Ridgway Rehab & Nursing Center. Edgar was born on February 8, 1921 in Ridgway to the late Frank & Ethel (Chapman) Roe. Edgar married Genevieve (Harris) roe in 1947 and she preceded him in death in 2007. Edgar served his country in the Army during WWII; he was in Normandy and the Battle of the Bulge. He returned home from the service and worked is entire life as a Grain and Livestock farmer and also worked as a State Highway worker for many years. He was very active in politics, as he was a Democrat Precinct Committeeman for over 36 years. He was a Deacon at his church in which he was always a faithful member, Pisgah General Baptist Church. He was a wonderful husband, loving father and grandfather, good brother and son and will be greatly missed. Survived by 2 sons, Kenny and Gayla Roe of Junction, and Donald Roe of Junction along with a daughter Vicki & Ron McGill of Edwardsville, IL Grandchildren - Jim & Chantell Roe, Crystal & Mike Beradi, Julie Roe and Allen Roe

Visitation for Edgar will be at the Cox & Son Funeral Home in Ridgway on Monday, December 12, 2011 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. His funeral service will be on Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with Rev. Steve Hunt officiating. Interment will follow at the Lindale Cemetery in Eldorado next to his wife with Military rites by the Ridgway American Legion.
