Donna McClaughry

Donna K. “Beanie” McClaughry, age 74, longtime Shawneetown resident passed on this life, August 28, 2021 in the Gallatin Manor Nursing Center in Ridgway.  Donna was born in Ridgway on July 11, 1947 to the late Albert and Alvena (Raben) Doerr.  On December 23, 1968 she married Alan McClaughry who survives.

“Beanie” was known for her quick and sometimes pointed wit but was always will to help someone.  She loved reading books, taking of her flowers, was known for her fried chicken.  She really enjoyed eating and every time out you had to stop eat somewhere.  Her real love was her family and will be missed by many.

She is survived by her husband, Alan McClaughry of Shawneetown, 2 sons, Jim (Cindy) Krikie of Norris City, Ronnie McClaughry of Shawneetown and her daughter, Lora Holloway of Shawneetown.  5 Grandchildren, David, Zach, Dakota, Chase and Bryce along with 2 Great grandchildren, Gabriel and Tynsleigh.

Visitation for Donna will be on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Cox & Son Funeral Home in Shawneetown.  Her funeral service will immediately follow at 1:00 PM.  Her final resting place will be done privately.
