Deborah K. Pearce, age 73 of Norris City, IL (in the Herald Community) passed on this life, March 5, 2022 in Indianapolis, IN from her injuries of a tragic house fire that also claimed the life of her husband.

Deborah was born in Kokomo, IN on February 10, 1949 to the late James R. Brown and Annabelle (Grabow) Hastings.  She was married to Danny Pearce who preceded her in death Feb. 16, 2022 and they had been together for over 48 years.  She loved the outside, especially flowers, her garden and made many quilts and blankets over the years.  She loved animals, especially her cat Radical and her dog Spike. Some of her favorite times were the holidays when she could see family members. Deborah had wonderful heart and soul and will be missed by many.

She is survived by: her children, Tracey Brown, Dennice (James) Scarlett, Lee Ann Rawson, George (Roberta) Pearce, Laura (Brian) Hickman, and Linda (Andrew) Zachary. 13 Grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren.  She is also survived by 1 brother, Tom (Debbie) Brown, a sister, Tena Smith and sister-in-law, Doris Brown, 6 brother in laws, Gene (Linda) Pearce, Thomas Pearce, Arthur (Frances) Pearce, Michael (Lavina) Pearce, Alan (Jackie) Pearce and Steve (Carolyn) Pearce, 3 sisters in law, Darlene (Dale) Wolshlager, Patti Wolshlager, and Peggy White.  She was preceded in death by a daughter, Caroline, 3 brothers, Larry, Jim, Bill (Oma), and Tim Brown. She was also preceded by 2 brothers in law, Barry and Larry Pearce and a sister-in-law, Sally Pearce

Visitation will be on March 26, 2022 at the Cox & Son Funeral Home in New Haven from 12 Noon until 2:00 PM.  A memorial service will follow startng at 2:00 PM.  Deborah and Danny will then be laid to rest together in Herald Cemetery immedialety following the Memorial service
