Charles W. Bill Smith

Charles W. ""Bill"" Smith, age 76 of Elizabethtown died on February 9, 2016 in the Windsor Estates of St. Charles, MO. Bill as most knew him was born in Ridgway, IL on May 24, 1939 to the late Charles and Muriel Louise (Rider Fuller). Bill was a retired Dock Foreman and Teamster for over 30 years in St. Louis where he retired and lived before returning to his roots in Southern Illinois. He was a Mason, belonging to Lodge 443, St. Louis, MO.

Bill is survived by his 2 sons, Anthony Joseph and J. Francis Smith both of St. Louis, along with 3 sisters, Dayla Kay Smith (Wood) of Bayonet Point, FL, Dorothy McAnally of Eldorado, Norma Kivett of Eldorado, 2 brothers, John Fuller of Harrisburg and Howard Thomas of Highland, IL. He was preceded in death by a son Charles David Smith and a brother Ben Fuller.

Per Bill's request, he will be cremated and Gathering of Friends and family will be on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at the Cox & Son Funeral Home in Shawneetown starting at 1:00 PM followed by a brief service at 2:00 PM with family and friends remembering Bill. Bill requested no flowers; make a donation to your favorite charity in his memory.
