Cathy Malone

Cathy A.  Malone, age 61, Junction, IL and lifelong Gallatin County resident passed on this life peacefully surrounded by her family in Harrisburg Medical Center after an extended illness on December 7, 2020.   Cathy was born on February 15, 1959 in New Haven, IL to the late Donald and Anna Mae (Spivey) Richardson.

She was a graduate of Ridgway High School and on December 12, 1981 she married the love of her life, Mike Malone.  Cathy was a Christian.  Her life was being a wife, mother and grandmother.  She was the happiest when she was with her children and grandchildren.  She was a kind and gentle soul who will be remembered forever.

Cathy is survived by her husband, Mike Malone of Junction, 2 sons, Jonathon (Jami) Malone of Junction and Michael Malone of Newburgh, IN.  Grandchildren, Kalei, Jakeb  and Jamison.  brothers, Will Richardson of Shawneetown and Robert Green of New Haven, sisters, Patricia Woods of Ridgway, Donna Owen of New Haven, Kim Stacey of Shawneetown, Cindy Meadows of New Haven, Cheryl Neuenfeldt of League City, Texas. Preceded by a brother Gary Meadows

Visitation for Cathy will be on Friday, December 11, 2020 at the Cox & Son Funeral Home in Ridgway from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.  Her funeral service will immediately follow at the funeral home starting at 1:00PM with Rev. Scott Luckett officiating.  She will be laid to rest in the Union Ridge Cemetery near New Haven.
