Alice Barker-West

Alice Jewell West, age 95 of Shawneetown passed on this life, January 23, 2019 in the Eldorado Nursing and Rehab.  Alice was born in Ridgway on September 14, 1923.  She had worked as a CNA but mostly a homemaker for her children.

Alice loved flowers, gardening, watching the birds but mostly loved her family.  She was the happiest when she was with them.  She always had a smile for you and will be so missed by children and grandchildren

Alice is survived by 2 sons, Gary Barker, Sr of Shawneetown and Rodney (Annis) Barker of Shawneetown, a daughter, Helen Powell of Shawneetown and granchildren, Gary Barker Jr, Jeff Barker, Timothy Barker, Jr, Monica Rigsby, David Barker, Kimberley Morano, Christine McCabe, Tee Barker, Matt Barker, Beth Kiper and Greg Webb. 25 Great Grandchildren and 22 Great Great Grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her mother, Helen Oliver, 2 sons, Mike and Tim Barker and a grandson, Steve Barker.

She will be laid to rest at the Westwood Cemetery privately with her family.
